Concerning the Amarillo store: I choose to prepare home-cooked meals 99% of the time; however, occasionally I enjoy eating out. This is a real, rare treat for my husband and me--most of the time. The last two times eating at this restaurant have been horrible experiences. One time, we were served our food, and two minutes later, one of the managers SAT DOWN at our table and for the most part forced us to have a long conversation (15 minutes) with him while we were trying to enjoy a nice, peaceful meal and enjoy our food and drink. He ruined the whole experience for me. The next time, we got our drinks and waited it seemed like about 45 minutes to an hour for our two burgers. The restaurant was not slammed, either. Our server, who also was the bartender, apologized over and over again and said she would speak to the manager. After we had (thankfully) finished eating, the same manager that had crashed our previous meal came over and hem-hawed around and extricated a reluctant response that everything was okay, instead of offering some sort of comp or even an apology for the extremely long delay. This was approximately 2 years ago, and we haven't been back. We have lots of eating options in Amarillo, TX, and when I first started visiting this place years ago, I was certain that it would be a favorite place to eat, and it was for several years. I may visit one more time, in hopes that the other manager has moved on and we can actually enjoy our time there. But I may just start with a drink only, to see how it goes.

My first experience was excellent food,service from bartenders made good drinks and friendly. My second visit was Saturday the 2nd of December with boyfriend we brought my 2 family members and 3 of us had steak and other had good burgar but my steak and drink turned out badly and so did other person steak. We agreed we will not be back to eat there. $100.25 paid for our food and gave $20 extra to Charlie whom was waitress.

Food and service is awesome. Not giving a discount to veterans except on active duty is shameful and no restaurant in town has that policy. Lots of veterans in Amarillo and I will be sure to pass that info on to all I know to avoid Bubbas.
