My husband and I enjoyed a tasty breakfast at Downtown Deli and Cafe before catching the train to Whittier. It may not be the most popular spot like Snow City Cafe, but the friendly staff, quick service, and generous portions made it a standout choice for our last morning in Anchorage. The sourdough pancakes were a real standout, and the Philly Cheesesteak and Monte Cristo sandwiches were fried to perfection - a must-try for anyone looking for delicious Alaska-style fare at a reasonable price.

It was an amazing place to eat when Tony Knowles owned the place, ofter bused our table. Miss it.

Ever since it changed ownership and changed the menu, this place is terrible.
The food is awful.
Bring back the old menu and that great food you had. I used to eat at this place 10 plus times a summer, now it's zero times a summer.

Terribly slow wait staff as well slow response from the kitchen Blah food. If you don't know how to make a Monte Cristo, then Google it! The bathroom could use a good cleaning. Too bad...great location and one of the few places you can sit outdoors.
