Visited Carmella’s last evening and was very disappointed. I was so looking forward to the meal, as I had always loved the atmosphere and food. I’m not sure what happened last night, but neither were good. Regarding the staff, a few make you feel welcome, while others seem a bit arrogant, as if they are doing you a favor letting you eat there. Also, the kitchen was quite loud. It seemed every time the door swung open, people were yelling and some kind of bell was rung. They seemed to all think it was amusing; but mostly it was just annoying. My meal was terrible.I had the Veal Marsala. The potatoes seemed to be boiled, ruff mashed, and placed on the plate with very little seasoning. The veal was extremely overcooked, but the sauce was the worst. Tasted like straight beef bouillon without a hint of Marsala wine. The Tirimisu was a big disappointment as well. I’m sorry. But I won’t be returning.

This place is so overrated. Expensive and nothing on the plate. The food was blah. The only thing good was the dessert. When you need to go somewhere else afterwards to fill up it is definitely not worth it.
