THIS IS THE ONLY PLACED TO GET FOOD IN FOUKE, EXCEPT FOR PIZZA. THE LAST TWO TIMES I HAVE GONE THERE, THE FRIES WERE BROWN FROM THE NASTY OLD GREASE THEY WERE COOKED IN. AND INEDIBLE. THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME I GO THERE. THINGS COSTR TOO MUCH NOW DAYS TO JUST WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Excellent food and service!!! When we first pulled up to Allen's on our way to Hot Springs, it looked like a real dive. The fact that it was virtually empty at 1:30 pm on a weekday made us a bit hesitant. In the end we were SO glad we stopped there! I had the shaved steak sandwich, which was served on perfectly toasted poboy bread and was overflowing with real steak that was juicy and tasty. The grilled purple onions were mixed in. I skipped the peppers (jalapeños) and thoroughly enjoyed it and the "Cajun" fries That came with it. The sandwich comes with a choice of Cajun fries, regular fries, or tater tots. The Cajun fries were mildly seasoned and very crisp on the outside - very good. Most of the others with me had burgers, which were more than a half-inch thick and seemed homemade. Everyone enjoyed them. My husband, typically pretty critical, told staff that it was the best burger he had eaten in a long time.
My daughter really liked the chili cheese fries and my son spoke highly of the chicken fingers he ordered. Everybody at his table loved the gravy that came with them.
The steady stream of takeout customers made us realize that the locals appreciated the food, as well.
The various serving staff were friendly and the service was great!
