Excellent options form ALL DAY southern breakfast specials such as Country fried steak, eggs, and trimmings, including bread (biscuits (better towards earlier in the day), to white, wheat, raisin bread, rye, and depending on the time cornbread. Main menu items include hard to find items such as Calves livers with vegetables, chicken livers, chicken fried chicken, and my all time favorite of Country Fried Steak which comes with 2 fresh vegetables made fresh earlier in the day. they have a quaint atmosphere and include many celebrities that have visited such as Jeff Fox Worthy, Jane Fonda, Local News anchors, Mark Winne, and the local mayor. Apparently this was a historical stomping ground for many political discussions throughout the years. I'm assuming this is one of the few that are still independent - as a reflection of the quality and mutli representation of many different types of customer base.
