Top Reviews of Colonnade Restaurant

I have always loved the Colonnade. However, my recent visit was a disappointment. Maybe we caught it on an off night but the quality seems to have gone down from my visit two years ago. I got trout and it was over cooked. My husband got the fried chicken, their specialty, and it was dry and stringy. The service was incredibly slow. The collards and bread was good but mac and cheese too bland.

This place gets worse every time I go. First off it is OLD. Smells OLD, food is out of cans. They have rested on thier "laurels" way too long. It used to be called the "gay" and the "grey" when it was good. I am native Atlantan and hate to post anything negative about an eatery, especially one with the history of this one. But STAY CLEAR,,the glory days of the Colonnade have long passed. The only positive is they still pour a stout drink..The owners are grumpy old farts that really don't give a damn about anyone but lining their own wallets.. Atlanta is way better than this. Plus the clientele looks like you are in the middle of "Butcher Hollow". Sloppy slovenly people. This is an embarassment to Southern "soul" food...I am through..IN FACT I WOULD GIVE IT NO REPS IF YELP ALLOWED SUCH..
