We first discovered this restaurant in 2019 and were happy to find a good breakfast place. We noticed the second time back that wait staff was a bit arrogant and candidly, not very customer friendly or accommodating. We went back a third time post pandemic and again had that same feeling that the restaurant didn’t really have much love or respect for customers. We noted the elaborate “rules” that they published on their menu … “we are not a coffee shop, table time limit of 60 minutes, If you order it and then change your mind, you have the financial liability” etc. which all seemed a bit over the top from a restaurant that isn’t awarded any Michelin stars or other major awards that would allow them to dictate in such a manor. For some reason, we returned yesterday for breakfast. Same aloofness and lack of customer centric behaviors by staff, an expensive omelet that was overdone, dry and not very nice, and the same over the top enforcement of rules as if there was an enormous crowd waiting to get seated (there wasn’t). We went home and read their reviews … maybe you should too … not only were the same sentiments repeated again and again by customers who rated them, but what struck us more were the comments from the owner, a rather rude foul- mouthed woman with apparently very little business savvy but lots of Soup Nazi type mojo. Unless they are vying for a cameo on an upcoming Seinfeld reunion, it says an awful lot about how little the owner apparently loves either the industry they are in or the customers that keep them in business. We found her Instagram page and watched some rather interesting videos, one in which she claims that customers owe them a lot of gratitude for keeping them from catching COVID while dining there and how much of a favor they are doing by having a place they can come eat at! Seriously??? Na, we are done with an overpriced, stiff, unfriendly and anti customer restaurant. There are too many good ones who care about their customers to reward and keep in business. Go read the reviews and owner’s responses to get a feel of her arrogance and lack of respect … it’s one of the most blatant ones you’ll ever see as most owners would have the business sense to hide these hateful feelings towards customers. Go find her Instagram and watch some of her videos where she denigrates customers who have anything negative to say and in general how much customers owe them for serving them this mediocre food and horrible atmosphere. I promise you will be as amazed as we were of the over the top arrogance and self-importance of this miserable human being. Time will tell, but my guess is that these guys will be circling the drain soon enough as enough people get tired of the combination of arrogant and unaccommodating wait staff, overly priced mediocre food and an owner who’s negative personality is stamped on everything that this restaurant does. The vibe says it all. Pass thank you.
