My husband and I have been patrons of NY Pizza pretty much since it opened. We knew that the service was slow, but we always found the people who run the place pretty nice (although incredibly slow and often hard to understand). We also liked one or two of the menu items. Therefore, we continued to patronize the place--until tonight, when my husband and I stopped by NY Pizza to get a quick bite to eat. He was very specific in what he wanted, yet the order wasn't correct. He had to ask for the right sauce at least twice. My order was even worse: I asked for an eggplant dish. What I got was something that was such a visual turnoff and so --for lack of a better word--"creepy" tasting, that I sent it back. In turn, I ordered a slice of pizza. It dripped in grease, but I was hungry and, so, I ate the pizza. Then, came the bill. Guess what? We were charged for the eggplant. When we questioned the charge, we were told that, since I ordered the eggplant, I had to pay for it. My God, what restaurant does that? None that I know of. After much argument, we finally got the bill corrected; however, I will NEVER go back to this restaurant. Never. What a rip off.

I am giving this place an "amazing" rating on the pizza only as that is what we had. Yes, the service was a little slow, but they were working hard trying to keep up with everything and the pizza was (dare I say) the best I ever had--very sweet crust and tasted just as good heated up. Honestly, if you are not willing to wait in the long lines at Outback next store, check this place out. The price reflects expectations, so don't be too hard on this place. I am going back!

First warning sign, there was only one other table occupied. We still had to wait 10 minutes before we saw the waitress and even longer before she came over to us. By then we found and grabbed menus. It was obvious she did not speak much english. We pretty much had to repeat everything we said except our menu items. We gave the waitress our calamari order, which seemed frozen(very chewy). We then ordered cajun chicken pasta and red clam garden rotelle pasta. The appetizer and salad was staggered and came in good time. The entrees came and, the chicken and pasta did not look appetizing at all. The chicken was pretty much diced up in the middle of the plate with some sauce. Nothing about this dish was cajun. It was not spicy at all, and did not taste cajun. We really could not tell what it taste like and could not eat it. The red clam's garden pasta was nothing but plain rotelle pasta (not sure where the garden rotelle came from)with clams and watered down sauce. Also it looked and tasted like the pasta was dipped in hot water to heat and not strained. Water with a little sauce pooled in the bottom of the plate. I knew it would taste better after I got it home and doctored it up, and it did. When we informed the waitress the chicken pasta was inedible, she told us she would have to charge us because we ordered it. She didn't even offer to get us anything else in its place. We informed her we would not pay for something that we DID not, and COULD not eat. When we got the check she said, she charged us for the salad that came with the dish($4.99). A little steep for a side of salad. The place was decorated nice and bottle beer was a good price. Bad food and bad service. I would not recommend this place at all.We will never eat there again!

I don't intend to sound mean but the people that run the place cannot speak good English. They mess up our orders and don't admit theier mistakes. We will never go there again!
