The food was good, but the margarita had no alcohol in it. It was very loud, with no acoustics.
I wish the Restaurant well. I own a business in West Annapolis. Hope it gets better.

What we thought was a "soft opening" ended up being Agava's first night opening. We arrived at about 5:30 and were seated immediately. There were four of us for dinner. We understood from the evening before we had stopped by the restaurant, that not everything was really ready for full operations...they had no phones and many off the wait staff were in training. After we ordered drinks, we did wait quite a while and had to ask about the drinks after a while. The appetizers were very good and the poppers were OK. I had the soft tacos and they were pretty delicious. The accompanying rice and beans were right out of a can, but large portions did not make up for the lack of taste. Our server and her partner were great and we were attended to throughout the meal..maybe a tad too much but understandable. The second order of drinks arrived much more quickly and the other meals were said to be fine, but again the rice and beans not so much. The decor is very nice, open and airy and the bar looked quite inviting. The one downside was the noise level, even before the restaurant was half full, the noise level was very high and made having a regular conversation at the table difficult. Not quite Boatyard loud, but approaching that level. We did feel, the four of us, the price of the meals was really on the high side for the fair offered. West Annapolis is a great spot and we hope to visit again.
