Terrible.
We have always loved Kona Ice, and had a truck at our house for our six-year-old son's drive-thru front yard birthday party in this COVID-19 environment. The truck showed up with a broken blade. They had no replacement in the truck and the replacement didn't show up until 47 minutes into our 1 hour party, and the ice machine was not operational until 51 minutes into our 1 hour party. By that time more than half our guests had departed without receiving the Kona ice, and the few who remained had been waiting for nearly an hour.
The driver/operator was nice and professional throughout, but then the company expected me to pay the full price. Chris, an owner/operator, called and became combative on the phone, stating that they had "fixed" the situation and had provided the service we had agreed to. We agreed to one hour of service from 12-1pm, and received nine minutes of service in that time window (12:51-1:00pm) for the roughly 1/3 of our guests who waited around that long. The truck stayed longer, but the party was over at that time.
Unacceptable service, made doubly so by the "demand" that we pay for a service we did not receive as agreed upon.
