OMG, it is perfection. Crispy light crust, tasty sauce, with quality cheese.

I haven't tasted pizza this good in a VERY long time. I ordered 2 subs a ch. steak and an Italian cc. I got a slice of pep pizza while waiting, it was LOADED w/pep and I think they use buffalo mozzarella not sure but, it was the real deal. No partially skim crap that lacks taste. In fact this may be the BEST tasting pizza I've ever eaten, GOD IT WAS GOOD !! The cheese steak was really good too, nice flavor and and a roll to die for. Not sure where they get their rolls but, they are some kinda GOOD !! The bread makes the sandwich, if you have lousy bread then you have a crappy sandwich. The Italian cold cut was the 2nd best I've ever eaten. They have a really good balsamic vinegar herb dressing which I liked a lot. The meats and cheese was fresh and so were the veggie toppings. This place is all about QUALITY and Italian authenticity !! In case you are interested the best Italian Cold Cut I've ever eaten comes from Johns Italian Deli on Annapolis Rd. Hands down they have the best around. They've become a bit pricey though, 11.40 is quite a bit for a sub imo…..1978 gives you a complimentary salad with a sub order and I must say even the salad was delicious !! Fresh crispy greens & veggies and a pretty good house dressing. Tonight 1-16-20 was my very first time going to 1978 and I will definitely be going back next time i'm in the area. I can't say enough good things about this place, the staff is very friendly btw. The Pizza, OMG it is to die for. Y'all go get you some you'll be GLAD you did, YUMMMMM

Got a large pepperoni pizza and it was the best I ever had. The crust was amazing!! First time I've ever been at new York pizza! Very friendly place. I will be back again. I wish they were open on Sunday so I could have pizza for the ravens game!

Heard a lot about this joint so I had to check it out on a recent Friday. I love pizza so I try to go to every real pizza joint and i love big floppy greasy new york style pizza. But this was some kind of Pasadena swamp mutant pizza. Crust seemed old and it was burnt. It was so greasy the middle was a glob of grease and cheese, the pepperoni was stacked like 10 deep in some spots making the dough not cook and the sausage was odd and tasteless, wont go back

Simply the best pizza I have had at any carryout! They have very generous portions of all toppings, and the pizza is top notch. One Sicilian pizza lasts the two of us for 3 meals each (which easilly make it worth the price)! I recommend The Godfather, it's an amazing value for a ton of toppings ($16 for a large I think, pepperoni sausage green peppers onions mushrooms and extra cheese). The story as I know it is the proprietor s immigrated to the US in 1978 (hence the name), and the staff seems pretty cool.

Went to 1978 pizza on Mountain Road in Pasadena on Sat. night and the pizza was burnt.It is not N.Y style pizza. First time ordering from there(we ordered to go) live in Glen burnie,and I will never go back or recommend to a friend.
