I had the worst meal ever today, we called for a take out and the meal was terrible. I wouldn't recommend going there and I will not go there again.

I went to the Big Stop on Friday night for dinner, will not go again nor will I recommend this place to anyone.
I ordered a bowl of soup and a BLT. Waited 45 min. when the order came it was horrible. I ordered white bread, it came on wheat, one small slice of tomato, 2 slices of half cooked bacon, and a lot of lettuce. My companion ordered the seafood platter, what a joke, a 2 inch piece of fish 3 shrimp and 3 scallops and enough french fries for 6 people. This is unacceptable, not only do you raise the prices of everything but cut the portion size. You do not do both, one or the other. The Big Stop use to be a good place to go about 6 years ago, now it is the worst place to eat in Newport. The company should be ashamed of themselves. They had a great manager at that time, she care about the people, and the quality of food they served. Now no one cares.

We go to Big Stop frequently, for breakfast buffet, and sometimes for regular menu breakfast. We have never had a bad meal! The buffet is great, and all the Servers are good, friendly, and fast to get anything we need. We can't believe the bad reviews on this page............people are too fussy. This is a Truck Stop, not a top name Classy New York restaurant!

This was the worst meal I've ever had in any restaurant, amazing that it stays open. My burger was way over cooked and dried out, fries were cold. My wife's breakfast was greasy and cold. Neither of us finished our meals. Commented to both the waitress and manager, They blamed it on being short handed, but never actually apologized.

Went to Irvings in Newport Sunday the 9th of Nov 2014 - had the worst meal - my baked potato was old
yellow in color and already split open with cracks - asked the waitress (Becky) that it was bad and she told me it couldn't be and was made fresh that day and was not put under a light.
The meatload I had was horrible
Would not recommend the the food - This restaurant used to be so good -

I had the worst dining experience today..my waitress was rude and very disrespectful. I went to breakfast with my parents and sister...and had the worst service in a long time...the food was overcooked!!! they definitely need better cooks and waitstaff...
