The breakfast buffet at Mama Jack's in Kountze, Texas exceeded my expectations with its delicious offerings, cozy atmosphere, and friendly staff. It felt like a warm hug from home, and I can't wait to return for more of their Southern charm and comfort food.

Our office eats at Mama Jack's on a regular basis, when time permits, and have for over twenty years, if we can't go there one of us will go pick up food to bring back. The food is always good, the service always friendly, do not know what the previous review is about.

The first time I came here for the lunch buffet, I was happy and thought the food was good. I wanted to come try out the seafood buffet another time - 9.99 seemed like a good deal for a buffet! I tried it out with my family tonight and unfortunately it was no good. The crab was inedible it was so dry, the hush puppies were burnt, the rice tasted funky... I we really only enjoyed the fried shrimp. Also, I didn't find out until after we were eating (from a tiny printed sign on the buffet) that our dinner buffet was 24.95! This was what really killed me! I wouldn't have spent 10$ on what I ate! I informed the waitress that the crab was extremely over done and that we were not aware of the price when we ordered. I let her know it would have completely deterred us from ordering, we would have gone somewhere else. So, all over I am bummed to say I can only give this establishment 1 star... I paid over 70$ for something my family could barely eat, much less enjoy. :( I am now heading home sick to my stomach! Lesson learned, we will not be back. I am only thankful that my kids dinners did not cost as much as ours!

The staff did not even seem concerned about my complaints, go figure...
