We went to visit our child at college. Made a reservation at The Chestnut Inn. I went back in time. I estimated your hotel was built in the 20s but had a 40s flair. I am gobsmacked at the beauty if your hotel. Your attention to the eras is elequently perfection. A true tribute to the Catskills Casino. Opulance without being frilly or overdone. Essence of FLW. We are tickled that there are other hotels that connect up with this one. I would hate to top you. Your boutique is at the top of my experiences.

The Chestnut Inn….What A Find!
My husband and I sought out a place that would provide a tranquil and restorative environment for a little getaway.. Wow, did we luck out! From the moment we arrived at The Chestnut Inn,
that feeling was achieved. The biggest decision to make was where to sit….by the lake in a comfortable lounge, on the veranda or on the perched Adirondacks along the grassy area or on the patio. Needless to say, there were many inviting options and all great choices!
The staff was exceptional from the reception area to the restaurant and hotel managers to the staff and servers. Many thanks, if my memory serves me correctly with names and spellings: Jim, Kyle, Kyle ( 2 on staff!), Charity, Kylie,Anne, Audree, Valerie and Delany though I regret I may have omitted a few. Bottom line, everyone was simply wonderful, personable and clearly took great pride in The Chestnut Inn. Even the neighbors were great, some of whom I had the pleasure of casually meeting. On another note, the food was spectacular. A well thought out menu was provided and the food was simply delicious.
Our room faced the lake and was spacious and so homey and accommodated all our needs. I particularly loved the spacious bathroom and oversized jacuzzi!
It is our hope to return and enjoy another memorable visit at this very special place in the future.

Drove over an hour only to be told they had closed the kitchen and cancelled my reservation with no notice. Not so much as an apology.
