The staff here truly knows how to make you feel welcome, especially after a rough start with another hotel, and the historic ambiance paired with a fantastic location definitely adds to the charm. While the rooms are on the smaller side and the valet service moves at a glacial pace (plan accordingly if you need your car), the restaurant's incredible flavors and attentive staff more than make up for it. From the rooftop views to the friendly faces at every turn, this hotel delivered a memorable anniversary stay with just a few quirks along the way.

The staff was super friendly and went out of their way to help us out when we arrived for our anniversary trip. While the room was a bit small and lacked a fridge, the location and vibe of the hotel made up for it. Overall, it was a decent experience, with good-sized rooms and a slightly firm bed. The front desk staff were fantastic, but we did have some issues with slow service at the restaurant and valet. Despite that, the Harvest Restaurant and Bar had amazing food and a great staff. The historic charm of the hotel was lovely, and the rooftop bar offered stunning views of Birmingham. Manager Lou and the bartender were especially helpful during our stay, and we appreciated the accommodating service. If you're in the Birmingham area, the Redmont Hotel is worth considering for a stay.
