Always good food

Love exploring local eateries when I'm on the road. Noticed a sign for a fish and chicken joint off the highway exit. It's a no-frills spot, with just a couple of tables, but the catfish special was reminiscent of my dad's cooking. The friendly service and delicious food make it worth a visit when in the area!

Had the catfish and wings. The seasoning was good but they were both a bit overcooked. There is a very fine line between done and overdone and they are missing the mark. If they can get the timing right, I would be more than willing to give more stars and go more often. I like that when I order wings, I get the whole wing, not just wing pieces.

Stopped at their Hershey/Empire location couple of times. First visit got chicken dinner and ocean perch. Was good. Second time ordered pollock/walleye. Very disappointed, Fish was almost nonexistent. All breading. Will try them again, but not too many more times if the quality doesn't improve. LJS sells Alaskan pollack which is much better but like the idea of cooked to order
