We had a large group, 15 people, at Bar Lola and the entire evening was wonderful! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the tapas were delicious. The live flamenco performance was amazing, especially the guest appearance by a dancer/singer from Seville, Spain. I will definitely return soon!

Food is ok, have tried almost 1/2 the menu and nothing jumps out after going 3 times. More importantly, I will not be back ever again after being greated for the third time by the same old Boston-like, parochial attitude at the door. Don't know why so many places in Boston choose to do this. Guess I wasn't dressed the part (def. dressed down, fleece, messed up hair), and therefore did not get one of the 6-7 open tables for the two of us (at least 3-4 tables were for just 2). When I eft, most of the tables were still open, and it was almost 9PM (people don't dine out that late in Boston).

Good luck Bar Lola. Hope you don't have the same fate the last few places have had at that location. Try and remember simple rules: customer is always right and be careful to not judge a book by its cover.

Overall, everything was good to very good. Nothing really stood out as fantastic, but there were no big negatives either.

We tried a wide variety of tapas. I was hoping one of them would be something extrodinary, but that didn't happen.

I'd go again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go again.
