Amazing is the word to use here. On entering the restaurant on Friday 16th July last we were blown away by the reception area , all the photographs of the celebrity diners and the pride taken in same. That is itself was entertaining before we entered the buzzing diningroom overlooking the harbour. It was my first time to dine in Pier 4 ( although the people who brought me there are prominent business people from Boston and are regular diners in Pier 4. ) I was on holiday from Ireland and accompanying my friends and family . We had a wonderful table ( the best in the house) at the corner window near the door out onto the decked area. We watched the Aerlingus planes take off, the Spirit of Boston cruise by and other pleasure craft enjoy the beautiful evening sunshine. We had three teen ages in our party of 9 and they loved their fresh chicken gorgons and crispy dry chips/ Humfried and most of us had the fresh fish dinners. All in all the ambiance, the service and the food was top class. Am now going to purchase a dinner voucher and for one of my family also living in Boston. Thank you all so much for a lovely evening and am passing on the good word to my Irish friends and family. xxxx

It is unfortunate that a great Boston landmark has come to this. This restaurant was
one of the hot spots for celebrities and politicians. My husband and I eat out in Boston frequently and have been dining at Anthony’s for 30 years. In the past few years we have
noticed a decline in the wait staff as well as the value. Many restaurants go through a transition period with new management and expansions, so we gave Anthony’s the benefit of the doubt. This past Friday was our last night at Anthony’s. My husband’s oysters were shucked many hours before we ordered them, so they were very dry. The manager was actually going back and forth with us insisting they were “shucked to order”. We have been eating oysters long enough to know not to eat those, and dining in restaurants long enough to know a manager should never argue with a patron. This incident settled down and I decided to order a cocktail. Grey goose cosmopolitan, the only cocktail I ever drink. When I mentioned to my waitress the vodka used was not Grey goose (as I would be charged extra for a premium vodka) She looked me square and replied “ That IS Grey goose vodka!”. Yikes, we were just looking for a quiet dinner together, but we were really struggling to make this work. After some words, she returned with the proper drink, the evening was weird and awkward. Don’t waste your money. This place is dying.
Great view of the Harbor
