Located in the heart of Boston's Back Bay at 159 Newbury Street, Bouchee serves authentic French brasserie cuisine in a lovely, upbeat and beautifully redesigned setting, featuring a spectacular patio for that authentic Cafe experience. Tim Partridge, former chef/owner of Perdix, serves as executive chef, with an expert team of experienced restaurant professionals. Bouchee features such classic brasserie favorites as steak frites, coq au vin, steak au poivre, duck confit and cassoulet. Seafood lovers will enjoy the traditional bouillabaisse, sauteed cod with duxelle stuffed crepes and an irresistible 'on ice' raw bar featuring the freshest iced littlenecks, oysters, shrimp cocktail and chilled lobster. Bouchee also features special 'plats du jour' including duck a l'orange, beef stroganoff and dover sole. And for wine aficiandos, the restaurant features an outstanding wine list with ever-changing world-class international selections. Naturally, signature classic cocktails, as well as delightful lunch and brunch specialties, are served by a well-trained, professional staff. The restaurant has a lively, fun and brasserie-style atmosphere. There are large mirrors, softly-glazed walls with mahogany trim, leather backed chairs and booths detailed with nail-head trim, and beautiful imported mosaic tiles featured throughout the restaurant. The ceilings are made of hand-pressed tin and the Parisian lamps are reminiscent of a typical brasserie in Paris. The mahogany paneled bar and classic French zinc bar top are a major focal point of the restaurant. The upper dining room features white tablecloths for a more upscale feel while overlooking the lower dining room and bar area which features the raw bar and marble high-tops for a more comfortable and casual feel. But, best of all, Bouchee boasts a spacious and sunny patio where guests can enjoy cocktails, delicious food and great people-watching on Newbury.
