Each bite of the pupusas-steaming hot and filled just right-brought a comforting authenticity, perfectly balanced by the tangy, crisp cabbage salad that felt both fresh and light. The flavors stayed true and satisfying without overwhelming the palate, creating a meal that felt like a heartfelt homage to Salvadoran home cooking.

The food at El Santaneco is delicious and authentic. I enjoyed the pupusa con queso y loroco, it was a favorite of mine. The casual atmosphere during lunchtime was quiet and pleasant, with soccer playing on TV. The owner was friendly and welcoming, especially to someone like me who hadn't tried this type of cuisine before.
