There's a small JP Licks in Somerville with friendly staff and some indoor seating, and the ice cream really hits the spot-even on a chilly November night when it was surprisingly busy. They offer a solid variety of unique flavors like rum raisin and salted caramel cookies and cream, and while the prices are a bit steep compared to supermarket pints, the quality and portion sizes make it worth it. The location has lots of natural light and outdoor seating, making it a nice place to chill after walking around Assembly Row, though parking might be a hassle if you're driving.
