Montien really brought back great memories from our last visit a couple of years ago. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed trying dishes from both the regular and Thai menus, especially the Choo-Chi crispy duck and chicken curry, which had a nice zing to it. Our server was friendly and attentive, making the overall vibe cozy and enjoyable, so I can't wait to go back again!

I've been going to Montien for 20 years and never had a bad meal. All their food is wonderful, however in the past few years I've noticed some changes. The portions aren't as large, and the prices are higher. Last week I ordered Lemon Grass Shrimp, and was disappointed. The menu description said it came with a lemon grass brown sauce. It didn't. There was no sauce at all. And no lemon grass. It particularly turned me off that the waitress kept pushing me to order this dish because "IT IS HEALTHY." This disturbed me. It seems Montien is trying to push its food as being healthy. But does it taste good? My dish had a lot of vegetables, 5 small shrimp, and some rice. I guess I'm saying something's changed and I'm not happy about it. Recent experiences with their Pad Thai have been similar. It still has that wonderful taste which makes you keep coming back for more, but the portions have become smaller, and they try to make the plate look larger by adding beansprouts which I hate and never eat. Sorry Montien, but you need to start paying attention. August 19, 2007.
