Milo's is a new addition to Boulder's restaurant scene! Offering pizzas, gulf coast po' boys, southern style gumbo, salads, and more. Located on the West side of N. Broadway between North and Alpine, Milo's is a great new addition to the dining options in the North Boulder area surrounding Ideal Market. | 11-10 M-F, 12-10 SA&SU

Wonderful pizza, amazing gumbo, and one damn good Louie Armstrong (turkey po' boy). The garlic bread has cheese at no extra charge, the service is amazing, especially the redhead cashier with the nose and tongue piercings (friendly, fast, helpful, and totally hot to boot!), and the atmosphere is this great small-time shop feel, with jazz and blues music and a whole-wall mural of a variety of old-timey musicians. Small, but makes you feel totally at home. Wireless is free, which is unusual in restaurants, and they're open late enough to be able to catch a pizza on the way out of the Hungry Toad after a couple of appetite-enhancing beers (not to mention right across from the wine merchants, if you want to make a home night of it). I love this place. Really. Somebody asked me where the subway was there the other day- you know what, buddy, you should be damn glad that subway went under, because from its ashes grew Milo's Boulder's best new budding lunch spot!
