I hate to admit this, but I’ve eaten at Dairy Queen consistently almost 3 times a week for the last couple years ($45 weekly). I always order the same thing. Always. I’m allergic to pickles, at least once a week I get pickles. The first few times I didn’t do anything. After realizing that burger is $6, It was adding up. I call say they made a mistake, and to get compensated for the next time. They are always polite and accommodating. Rob and the girls have all been nice, the leaner guy With the glasses, always nice. So I went in today, my third time this week 🥴, my onion rings came out a bit burnt, especially compared to the last time. I’m guessing after I went in there and was told that that’s how it is, I was wrong. I mentioned I didn’t like it that way, the male manager (beefier guy, beard with glasses) told me that’s how he likes it, and that’s how it always comes. I mentioned again I’m here a lot and it’s very inconsistent. What I was hoping for was just to get more and not have them be the same way. After a 5 minute debate with him, I was THEN offered a new basket or a refund. I just wanted a fresh onion ring right form the beginning. So at that point 15 minutes after I got my food, my burger cold, I got new onion rings, ONLY TO SEE THEY WEREN’T AS BURNT. I pointed it out only to be told well they are on a timer. I was hoping they would take into consideration that it was just after dinner time, busy with all the blizzards, that maybe, just maybe they were left on too long. I understand that things are on a timer but sometimes people get busy and don’t realize the timer and don’t lift the basket in time. I myself once worked at Dairy Queen and had made that mistake myself. I’ve worked in the service industry my whole life, I get it, it’s hard, people are hard, so I understand. I also understand that it’s not unreasonable to not be satisfied with service and be disappointed, but when you vocalize that disappointment I’m
Met with debate, and I’m told that I’m being combative and being rude and I will have to leave.

I’ll just say that I’m extremely disappointed and I won’t be coming back to spend my money there anymore. I work with the public and definitely will telling everyone I know of my experience there. People that know me when they hear this know I’m a really laid back, and a reasonable, compassionate person, being accused of being combative and not seen as frustration is a bit of an insult on someone’s character and attitude. I’m hoping with more experience (that I was told he had a lot of????) he will react differently next time. I know that if I responded to My clients that way, I’d be out of a job, or have to receive better training. I think the latter is needed here.

Again extremely disappointed sucks now I need to find a new fave spot.
