I don't usually frequent Chinese takeout joints with basic menus, but Peking Kitchen surprised me pleasantly. The vegetable chow fun is consistently not greasy or overly unhealthy and comes in a generous portion for only $5 - perfect for those times when my gas wasn't working in my new apartment. While the plain rice was just average and the sweet plantains didn't quite hit the mark for me, I'd definitely return if they added more veggie options like vegetable dumplings. Remembering your name isn't their strong suit, and they hang up quickly after ordering, but as long as the quality, portion size, and price remain unbeatable, I'm happy to keep coming back for a quick and satisfying meal at Peking Kitchen.
