Howong has been my go-to for authentic Chinese seafood in Bensonhurst for over a decade, with standout dishes like the tender lobster with ginger and scallions, flavorful duck, and satisfying Yang chow shrimp fried rice. The staff's hospitality is unmatched-they're always attentive, welcoming, and ready to make the dining experience feel like a family gathering. Despite the dated decor and rising prices, the generous portions, delicious food, and speedy, safe delivery keep me coming back hungry for more dim sum and comforting classics.

You have to come back to try more dishes here; the honey garlic chicken could use a bit more seasoning, but the shrimp walnut in mayonnaise sauce is fantastic. The duck and Yang chow shrimp fried rice are my go-to favorites, and while the decor might feel outdated, the food quality is absolutely worth it. After living nearby for years, I can confidently say this restaurant serves some of the best authentic Chinese dishes around, and the service is always friendly and attentive.
