During an early morning visit on Ash Wednesday, I received prompt and friendly service while ordering breakfast tacos, with the egg and bean tacos being large and satisfying, though the coffee was a bit weak. The Caldo de Res was perfectly seasoned and authentic, and the Mexican Plate with a cheese enchilada, chalupa, rice, and beans stood out as the best I've had in South Texas. Despite some minor issues like limited English-speaking staff and the lack of a soda fountain, the overall experience was enjoyable, with great food, reasonable prices, and attentive service that even remembered my husband's tea preference.

The breakfast tacos were satisfying, and the service was prompt and friendly during my visit on Ash Wednesday morning. The menu had limited options, but the food was tasty and reasonably priced overall.
