I devoured a torta de milanesa loaded with cheese that was bursting with flavor, and the beans tasted nothing like those sad canned ones-though the rice was a bit on the crunchy side, I'm chalking that up as a quirky miss. Between the fresh shrimp cocktail, amazing chilaquiles, and warm, welcoming service from Francisca and the family, this cozy Mexican joint has officially stolen a spot in my top five favorites!

I had the torta de milanesa, and it was incredibly satisfying, especially with the added cheese. The beans were flavorful, a refreshing change from the usual canned variety, although the rice was a bit hard, which I hope will be better on my next visit. This family-run restaurant has become a favorite of mine, with a menu full of delicious options and friendly service that always makes me feel welcome.
