After watching YouTuber Jimmy Kim, I developed a craving for tteokbokki with twigim, a combination that's surprisingly hard to find in the U.S., even with the increase in Korean restaurants. Banju, which recently rebranded from Pollo Pollo, offers both dishes along with a new lunch set menu that includes a spicy rice cake set. The food was nicely packaged for takeout, and while the tteokbokki was enjoyable with the right balance of sweetness and spice, I found the udon to be less appealing; however, the overall experience was pleasant thanks to the attentive staff and cozy atmosphere.
