On July 1, 2017, I visited Bone Side Down BBQ in Big Bear, CA, and stumbled upon Mike's Italian ice truck parked nearby. Opting for dessert before dinner, I indulged in the "big daddy" Italian ice with its delightful mix of cherry, orange, and pineapple flavors, reminiscent of a vibrant big stick popsicle. The colors were mesmerizing, and I found myself wishing I could immerse myself in a bucket of this delectable treat. It's a shame they're only in Big Bear until July 3rd, but I promised to return before they depart. If only they had a permanent store here, as the warm weather in Big Bear lately makes their refreshing treats a perfect match for any occasion.
