The ambiance by the river is incredibly soothing, making it a relaxing dining experience, especially during breakfast when the buffet offers excellent variety. The staff are friendly and attentive, working hard to provide good service despite some delays and limited seating options. While some menu items can be a bit pricey and the dinner pace is slow, the quality of dishes like the Chicken Marsala and Rainbow Trout make it worthwhile, and the overall setting adds to the enjoyment.

The restaurant is known for its relaxing atmosphere by the river. I recommend trying the hamburger or other simple dishes. While dinner service can be slow, take the time to enjoy the serene surroundings in El Portal on your way to or from Yosemite.
