I haven't been back to eat at Connie's California Continental Cuisine since I moved away, but my parents told me a talented chef took over and is serving up some amazing dishes. Now there's a new spot called Connie's Kitchen, where the food is home-cooked and delicious, although you might have to wait a bit since there's only one waitress handling everything.
