Dining at The Steinbeck Restaurant felt like stepping back in time, with warm, friendly volunteers sharing fascinating stories about John Steinbeck and his family as I enjoyed a delicious, home-style lunch. The leek soup was outstanding, the chicken salad divine, and even the frozen chocolate Charlotte dessert was a perfect finish to the meal. The beautiful historic house, attentive service, reasonable prices, and rich literary history made the entire experience truly memorable.
