Situated in a quiet woodsy area just outside of Chapel Hill, the Farm House Restaurant has served old-fashioned cooking since 1969. Steaks are cooked on an open charcoal grill and brought to the table still sizzling on hot cast iron skillets. The atmosphere can be described as rustic and romantic, with kerosene lamps adorning each table. Fireplace seating is popular in the cooler months. The Farm House features a full bar in addition to beer and wine.

After attending an event in Hillsborough, my husband and I decided to try the Farmhouse Restaurant we had passed numerous times on our way to a meeting. The restaurant's rustic charm and friendly service made for a pleasant dining experience, and we enjoyed our meals of beef tips and strip steak with classic sides like baked potatoes and salad.
