Harding Family Restaurant near Charleston, WV has the kind of home-cooked meals that remind me of grandma's kitchen, with generous portions and friendly, welcoming staff. The food and service are consistently excellent, making me a regular at this restaurant. I particularly enjoy the chicken and dumplings, and the warm, nostalgic ambiance reminds me of a hometown diner. Each visit is a joy, with friendly staff and generous portions that truly satisfy my cravings.

Incompetent at best! Stay away for party reservations! Went in person and spoke with Jimmy about a reservation for the next day at 5pm. He stated a party would be in at 6pm so we changed our time to 4pm. He said it would give us an hour and and half and time for them to turn the room around for the 6pm party. Called one hour before arriving for reservation and spoke with Jimmy and he said all was good. All 14 people arrived by 4pm and the room we were to be in was filled with a party that came in earlier with no sign of clearing out anytime soon. The desk staff was rude, uncaring, and the only response all could give was"not my fault". JImmy was there and never once approached us to address the issue. We left for Cracker Barrel who was able to accommodate our party. Jimmy was on the phone when I went to the desk and ignored me completely. This is the worst staff and management I have ever experienced. Rude and incompetent from top to bottom.
