A group of friends and I attended the Dining Out for Life food truck rodeo at Roper St. Francis today, benefiting the Ryan White Wellness Center/AIDS awareness. One of the featured trucks was Food Baby, which I had been curious about since spotting them at a local race. I opted for the sweet potato hummus wrap, priced at $9, as I enjoy wraps, hummus, and sweet potatoes. The wrap, filled with creamy hummus and an array of vegetables, was satisfying, although I wished it had been sliced in two for easier handling. My friend tried the pulled chicken taco and Greek salad, the latter of which was a unique take on the classic dish with plenty of marinated veggies. Overall, Food Baby offers a nice addition to the food truck scene with reasonable prices and the opportunity to mix and match different items. Their support for charitable causes and efficient service make them a truck worth revisiting in the future.
