I tried the regular hot dog here for the first time, and it blew me away with its authentic Carolina Piedmont flavor and perfectly soft bun. The staff were welcoming and friendly, making me feel comfortable as a minority, and the bathrooms were impressively clean, which is always a bonus. The fried mushrooms and onion rings were fantastic sides, and the owner Peggy's hospitality really adds to the down-home, family-run atmosphere of this simple, old-school grill near the airport.

My initial visit here left me pleasantly surprised as I indulged in a regular hot dog that surpassed my expectations. The friendly staff created a welcoming atmosphere, where as a minority, I never experienced any hint of racism. The cleanliness of the bathrooms was an added bonus for those considering dining inside, making it an all-around amazing spot to enjoy a meal.
