Very inviting atmosphere with helpful, friendly staff. I was alone, so I sat at the bar at 6:15 on a Wednesday... fully expecting happy hour to be over. I was pleasantly surprised that it ended at 6:30! As I don't usually drink martinis, they were $5 on Wednesdays. However, I was unsure of what martini to purchase, so the bartender asked my preferences and what I usually drink, and she recommended a French Martini... ON POINT! I don't know why I had never had one before! I also had the Southwestern Eggrolls $7 - WONDERFUL. They came with a dill sauce that I just wanted to dive headfirst into. There were only 4, but they were on the long side, and simply delicious. I also ordered the Chicken Fingers appetizer $5, and they were exactly what I expected, served with ranch dressing and BBQ sauce that was a bit on the spicy side. I came for a sloppy burger, so I ordered the "Hot Enough" burger. Served with pepper jack cheese, fried jalapeno strips (no seeds THANK YOU CHEF!), and mayo/lettuce/tomato/red onion/pickle. I came with fries and served with a small cup of habanero ketchup. WONDERFUL BURGER! I look forward to my next business trip to the Uptown Charlotte area, so that I can have this experience again. Met a regular at the bar that was treated like family by the staff, and that made me feel at ease in a different environment in a different city when I was all by myself. Left via hotel shuttle with a smile on my face, a full belly, and two take out boxes to take back to the hotel.
