This place is an awesome family owned pizzeria that has been at this location since 1987. Prior to this location, the Finazzo family, introduced the first family owned pizzeria in the charlottesville VA and surrounding areas. The food is authentic and delicious. Homemade pizza bread, hand tossed pizzas, pastas and a fantastic gluten free menu and much more. They have established a great reputation over these past several years and still bring the same recipes and welcoming atmosphere that they offered in 1976. They are a huge part of the community and host multiple fundraisers for local schools and churches and sponsor local sports teams.

Sal's Pizza has quickly become a favorite for me and my family, thanks to their delicious food and friendly, attentive service. Whether it's the unique white pizza, the flavorful cheeseburger, or the fresh pasta dishes, everything feels homemade and satisfying, plus they offer great gluten-free options. The cozy, family-run vibe makes every visit enjoyable, and with generous portions and reasonable prices, it's easy to keep coming back.
