You know you’re going to wait, why complain? Budget your time accordingly. The sandwiches & the sauce are THE BEST!!! Well worth the wait!

Grew up on the fries and polishes, as I got older I moved on to the Hoagies then the steak sandwiches. Nothing like it NO WHERE!!!! Can't be duplicated. The sauce on the fries omg yummy. Better than the Philly Cheese Steaks I know I moved to the East Coast for 29 yrs 😄

Da steak hoary is free dats all I eat n da fries wit da sauce but da don't answer da phone n when da do u still gotta wait an hour plus when u just go n there it's still bout 1n half wait need more workers

Lines are always too long, the wait time is unbearable, system is unorganized, never answer the phone or line is busy.

Sandwiches are good but the( service is beyond Unacceptable). I'm sorry but how can a business owner with experience not understand professionalism and basic customer service ? Please as a owner, take some customers service classes and LEARN HOW TO GET THE PRODUCT OUT TO CUSTOMERS IN A TIMELY FASHION. This will help you make real money and maybe be considered for
some corporate catering jobs you missed out on. SMH.

Last time I was there I ordered two steak Hoagies 1 with cheese and 1 with out. I didn't check my bag normally I would but I didn't I had the cold cuts I was so dissapointed but I enjoyed I live in Joliet so I wasn't about to complain I have been eating there since the 70's

keep up the good work home of the hogies, the wait is worth the freshness of the food, when i go i always buy 6 subs to last me for a week, i get there early about 10:45 am, im in and out less than 30 mins or less, support our black business, wish i had a hoggie right now

...if you are trying to get some food before a game or event.
I have been a customer of Home of the Hoagy for 30 years. After yesterday they have lost a loyal customer. 1 hour and 40 minutes, two lines (not one, two), then another waiting period! All for three large hoagies and two fries with sauce??? I can't do it anymore. I'm sorry.
How can you treat someone who has been going there for over 30 years like that???
The "other persuasion" don't treat me like this and for now on, that is who I will visit (example: Alpine Sub, Berto's, Fontana's, Algonquin Sub Shop).
My commute is less the time to get the food (40 minutes from western suburbs)!!!
In other words, to receive their food, you have to devote 2 hours of your day to receive it!!??!! Man, I can receive a Baptist church service and sermon in the same amount of time!!!
A flight from Chicago to New York is an 1 hour and 35 mins!!!
A flight from Chicago to DC is an 1 hour and 17 mins!!!
A flight from Chicago to ATL is an 1 hour and 31 mins!!!
A flight from Chicago to Kansas City is an 1 hour and 22 mins!!!

The food is good, but the service is terrible. I belive that we should support our black owned businesses. Customer service goes a long way. The last time I was there they were so rude to me, I could not bring myself to buy anything. I just left.
