10/27/2008 - Sara
Went to the restaurant and was quite disappointed, the bread was hard, falafel was hard, and the owner kept staring. Our waitor was nice, but after we ate while leaving, the owner took his tip.
I will never go there again, it was really sad to see people so evil and degrading.
10/11/2008 - Happy Customer in southwest Chicago
Al-Ameer restaurant is truly one of the very best Arab restaurants in all of Chicagoland, with food on par with the Haifa Cafe in the Loop.
The owners, cooks, and servers are all extremely kind and respectful, and you cannot go wrong by bringing your family, friends, and colleagues to Al-Ameer for dinner.
The food is exquisite, the service first class, and the ambiance a simple touch of the Arab World, with Bedouin style seating, cultural artifacts all around, and just the perfect volume of Arab music in the background.
