I can remember this bakery since I was a little kid in the 1950's. The bacon buns were always my favorite but their rye bread was the best. My friend Chuckie used to work there and bag the bread after it was baked - he lived right next door. I used to help out and hang out and get some free bread to eat. I would often buy a loaf of bread and just hang out with my friends on the corner and eat the loaf while we pitched pennies of played ball in the schoolyard down the street. I've heard that Bruno's is no longer and along with the demolition of Saint George Church it's a sad ending to the Lithuanian community.
