The food here consistently impresses me, with highlights like the incredible lamb shanks and the fantastic breakfast burrito. Though the service can be slow, the quality of the dishes makes the wait worthwhile, even if the ambiance is lacking. Despite some busy moments and occasional grumpy servers, I find myself eager to return for another delicious meal.

This is my favorite restaurant in Basalt, and Basalt has many good restaurants. The coffee is always delicious, the homemade bread is too die for, and the eggs are always perfectly cooked. The owners do the cooking and wait the tables, and if feels good to support local business.

We have eaten here often, and many post Covid after Bernard retired. We have never had a bad meal. Bernard's shoes were hard to fill, but Alejandro is a superb chef and Anabel is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and tremendous server. This is one best values in the Roaring Fork Valley. I worry that in this post Covid economy that they will be one of the many restaurants that don't make it through no fault of their own, but rest assured that if they are there the dining experience will be one of the best you can have. If I could give more than five stars I would. Please go and see for yourself - there are very few restaurants, even in this valley, which can measure up.
