A recent stay at the Historic Western Hotel in Ouray provided a unique and cozy experience, with rooms furnished in vintage style reminiscent of the 1891 era. The location was ideal, just a short walk to the river and the downtown area, making it a convenient spot for exploring the town. The nearby Blue Pear restaurant came highly recommended by the hotel owner and offered fresh and tasty dishes, such as the Caesar Salad and Herbivore pizza, in a cozy Victorian Western setting.

We live in Denver and Ouray. On a recent stay in Ouray, we dined at The Western which had been serving only a few days. Both dinners were wonderfully prepared and the service was excellent. Such quality was especially appreciated in a new restaurant. The prices were moderate for such premium food, especially compared to Denver. We are coming back with friends visiting Ouray very soon.
