Dining out has become more spendy so going out has become a treat for us. Cold food. No one cared. This place used to be better, but more often than not it's been a disappointment. The Brush Colorado location of this restaurant is better but you can't always count on that either.

Was not happy with home plate in Ft. Morgan today. Third time in a row and will not go back.
Ordered a chicken fried steak with a salad. The salad I stopped eating due to old tasting tomatoe, and cucumber and lettuce. Got the chicken fried steak and it was really thin, like the breading was thicker than the meat. The first bite took away the bad taste from old salad. The third bite tasted more like fish than beef. I asked the older waitress if they use the same oil to cook the steak in as fish. She abruptly told me I need to talk to the cook not her cause she is just the waitress. Needless to say I told her I mentioned it to her so she could let cook know. I hate fish and I will not eat a 1/8" thick chicken fried steak tasting like fish Needless to say the dinner roll was close to being frozen. Told the waitress we will not be back, 3 times you out. She never even listen just kept bitching on getting me out of there while I stood at counter waiting to pay. So I walked back to the table and told my caregiver to take care of it when she decides to shut her mouth and walked out.

When first experienced eating at Home Plate service was awesome and food was exceptional, Home Plate was extremely buy but we got our food quickly, service was awesome..
The 2 visit were unbelievable as the worse service and food was cold.. the last visit was several weeks ago, the Hostess was horrible she had us next to be seated in a booth close by just need to be cleaned off she gave that same booth she had promised my family to sit in to a person who was 8 people behind me, WOW.. then we finally got seated about 5 minutes later.. it took several minutes after being seated a young lady came by and got us our drinks and chips and salsa. 10 mins later our waitress took our order then we had to wait 40 mins for our food it was cold and the meals tasted awful.. My brother and his wife went to Home Plate again to give the restaurant a second chance they were very disappointed, nothing had changed..
I will never step into Home Plate again, my brother and his wife have the same opinion..

I took my Girlfriend out to eat here and everything about the place was the crapest we have ever had. and they charged me for the sh-t food. I a cowboy, and I have tasted crap that tasted better. I think the cook news to learn how to cook. and the waitress should know better between still chips and not. I give them a -80 between 1 and 10
