1st time diner and I didn't expect to get MICROWAVE BACON with my #3 special. The potatoes were not real, frozen from the bag and I was gonna take the food back(pick up order) why waste more money on gas. I won't be going back and I plan on telling everyone about our experience. Made my mom sick,(that greasy MICROWAVE BACON) really sad Ms Lois

I visited this place when they first opened to check out the cabbage rolls that I heard they serve there. I was not disappointed in the least and now the place has become my permanent stop on a weekly basis. The people who run the place and the workers there are really nice and my wife fell in love with the place once she went there with me. We have become a little lax with our trips there recently but it is not because we dislike the place. This Covid junk has just made us more cautious with our visits but hopefully will be back on track soon.I would advise anyone to visit this place if you enjoy good food and friendly people.

First visit was last evening. I never heard of the restaurant, but I have lived in Columbus for a long time. It was recommended to me by the owner of Tatoheads, a bar that used to serve food we fashioned - Hungarian. So, we visited the location on South High St. What a surprise. First, before I get to the food and entertainment, this is the most friendly, gracious place I have ever visited. A gentleman named Tom, a patron, came to our table, introduced himself, then proceeded to find menus for us before the staff had time to walk over. He said there was a raffle, and we politely bought 10 tickets. WELL I WON. The flood of folks who came to my table to congratulate me was terrific. The staff all stopped by to say hello. My wite thought we won a toaster, but no, a sizeable sum of the green stuff. In sum, this is just a great family joint of friendly, sincere patrons and staff. No alcohol and cash only. So, on to the food. Simple fare for the most part, healthy and generally, home cooking stuff. We inquired about ethnic food, which on our night the only available was stuffed cabbage - excellent, and reminiscent of food from my youth. Upon paying to bill to Lois, she greeted me and congratulated me on winning. She assured us that she offers Eastern European delights, but on a hit-or-miss basis. In sum (at last) this restaurant is not fancy, and has standard American food. The band was terrific if you like blue grass/country. This is a great slice of America. I recommend it heartly if you want an honest, friendly experience among some really nice people. The total for our meal was $22, nnot icluding tax/tip.
