Moonlight consistently delivers fresh sushi, flavorful hibachi, and attentive service that make every visit enjoyable and satisfying. With generous portions, accommodating staff, and a welcoming atmosphere, it's become my go-to choice for delicious Japanese cuisine in Middletown.

Moonlight has become my go-to for sushi in Middletown. The service is quick and friendly, plus the food is always fresh and delicious. I love the variety on the menu, especially the tiger and sexy Kimberly rolls, and the hibachi chefs are fantastic too!

Food is always good!

Overall poor management & mediocre food.
I've attempted to order take out lunch twice from Moonlight and both times the menu 'had changed'. First attempt, I had used a paper menu that was picked up at this establishment a week or two prior. The items on the paper menu were suddenly 'no longer available' because the 'menu was changing' per the woman I spoke to on the phone. My second attempt was a couple months later (hoping that the kinks in the newer establishment would be worked out). This time I went online to moonlight's website thinking I would get an up-to-date menu (especially because there was the option to place an order directly online). I placed my order via telephone with a friendly employee and when I got to the restaurant to pick up, I was informed that one of the items that I had ordered, was 'no longer part of the lunch menu'. The manager made a scene with the employee who took my order over the phone because she accepted my order. Right in front of me, the manager made it very clear - that the employee had made a mistake and even ripped the phone out of this employees hand when it rang next. Very poor managerial skills to behave in that fashion in front of customers. I told the manager that their website menu for online ordering contained this item and that they should consider removing it. Her response was 'which one of our websites did you use'? That is the most ridiculous question I've ever heard from a business! Why would you have more than one website available to your customers? Apparently they have a new website and an old website that provides outdated info, but hasn't been taken down. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER MOONLIGHT! Oh, and I checked both the 'new' and the 'old' website for the item that was no longer available. Guess what Moonlight...it was still listed on BOTH websites - so you might want to fix that.
I really hope that the attentive/friendly employee that took my order over the phone has since left - no one deserves to be treated like a piece of crap in front of customers. I'll be frequenting the other Japanese establishments in the area and will tell all of my friends to avoid Moonlight.
