Grinder bread too hard, very little and thin slices of meat and cheese. Charge too much for a extra lettuce.. Horrible salami grinders

The grinder bread has been getting better, the last several Italian toasted grinders have been excellent....
The other week we had a Hamburger pizza, tonight 1 Hamburger, 1, Sausage, & 1 Cheese!

Vocatura's re-opened and we shot down there for grinders. The only bread they had was the soft, chewy bread. Terrible! When the old man worked there and made the bread, he knew how to make grinder bread. Hard on the outside and soft on the inside. That's what grinders are all about. Now you get a sandwich that looks like a grinder. They rate ok and in the same catagory as the rest of the shops, but in the day, they were the best! Get the old man back!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great products here, sounds like the one dude that gives 1 star has an issue, (personal), nothing but pure pleasure when I come here, always fresh and always well made.
Thanks for being a fixture in the communit6 for so long. We love you!

The grinder rolls from this bakery are simply the best around. They are always made fresh every day. I drive there from Stonington to get them. The staff is always friendly.

seems like chris vocatura is not playing with a full deck of cards, or as they say no toys in the attic, and dave is a dick even as a kid he was a pud

grinders are skimpy and very oily plus dave vocatura is a dick with no personality ,maybe he is just plain burnt out ,but never says Hi, or thank you, and throws your change on the counter instead of in your hand, plus I seen him sample the meatball sauce with a spoon and then place it down maybe to sample again the place is disgusting dirty also, never again.

I was born on Boswell Ave and I had my first grinder and pizza here, not to mention all the other homemade goodies. Back in the 50`s and 60's, there wasn't a lot of places to go. I was lucky to have this gem right down the street. I moved to Florida in 87 and once a year I am back visiting family and friends. this is my first and last stop of my visit. I always dread having to wait another year to enjoy the best pizza and grinders on the planet.
