Before Yom Kippur, the busy deli surprised me with its fast service and amazing pastrami Reuben.

I visited Gold's just before Yom Kippur, 2023, so it was bustling with a long line that surprised me with how quickly it moved. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and efficient, making the experience enjoyable despite the crowd. The chopped liver, onion bread, and pastries were all exceptional, although prices were a bit high, but that seems to be the norm nowadays. It's a cute spot with a great deli selection and a cozy diner atmosphere in the back, offering a variety of Jewish classics like latkes and knish that bring a taste of nostalgia.
