Kazy's sushi bar consistently serves the best and most reasonably priced Japanese foods (rice bowls and sushi) that I have ever found in my 17 years in DFW. They've just renovated and it looks very nice, but not too posh for a grocery store / sushi bar.
The grocery section is well stocked and organized, and full of specialty items. To me it is a wonderland. You can buy quail eggs, bonito flakes, green tea soup mix and soo much more.
They also sell kitchen equipment, ranging from the very fancy to the mundane. I have only gotten a bento box and a mat to roll sushi, but they also have cook books, tea sets, knife sets, sake decanters and on and on.
I read before the first time that I visited that it had an unpleasant fish odor. I am not exactly sure what people expect out of a fish vending business, but, even so, I never have detected any unpleasant odors at all. Perhaps it was an issue they had years ago, but not now.
It is a small place, run by Japanese people, and it has so much to offer. If you are close enough, I highly suggest you visit at least once.
